Batter Up!! T-Bones game makes for a fun evening

Posted May 21, 2010 8:16am by Kiran

The sun has finally made its long-awaited appearance…school is winding down and thoughts in my house are turning to SUMMER!  One of the things we like to do is head to CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, KS and take in a T-Bones game.

The T-Bones have the family fun/great value thing down…and some really fun and unique promotions, too.  I’ll highlight a few of the deals to be had; a few interesting promotions and a schedule of upcoming home games.  The season home opener is Friday, May 28, 2010 at 7:05pm. The first 2500 fans will receive a FREE T-Bones t-shirt.  The first 5000 fans (same night) will receive a magnet schedule–and all fans will be treated to a Falcon Skydiving Appearance.  Of note:

– Tickets are always affordable, but you can get a general admission seat for just $4 on Monday through Thursday nights by simply showing your Price Chopper Card at the box office. Monday may be the night you want to go as a family–because the kids eat FREE on Mondays!!

Single game tickets range from $6- $16.

Also on opening weekend, you can catch the Post-Game Fireworks on Saturday, May 29.  On Sunday the 30th, select players will be giving Pre-Game autographs and kids can run the bases after the game.  Memorial Weekend is shaping up to be a BIG family weekend here in KC–don’t forget about Jiggle Jam at Crown Center!

– Wednesday, June 2, 2010 marks a day game, which sounds kind of fun!  Game time is 11:05am and there is also a giveaway–Thunderstix.

– On Friday, June 4, the Kansas Lottery presents “Star Wars Night”! Fans are encouraged to wear their best Star Wars attire and in return they’ll receive 2-for-1 KCI High Fly Zone Bleacher Reserved Tickets.  And- fans can head onto the field after the game for fan/player photographs.  Just think–you could have a photograph of your child in full Darth Vader attire with a T-Bones player!

– You can catch Post-Game Fireworks on Saturday, June 5 , 2010.

– The T-Bones have an extended homestand over Fourth of July week(end).  July 2- July 7 they are in town, playing at the ballpark!  Planned promotions include fireworks, kids eat free, beer specials and even Nurse Appreciation Day!

The team’s last home game is September 6, 2010; so you have ALL summer to head over to CommunityAmerica Ballpark and have some fun!
