KC Kids Fun this Week!

Posted August 04, 2008 12:23am by Kate

If we can get through the heat of the next two days (Monday and Tuesday), the forecasters claim that we’re in for a “cool down” on Wednesday! Mid-80s will feel like air conditioning compared to the last few days.

Kansas City Zoo

86 degrees on Wednesday will be great timing for a FANTASTIC special at the Kansas City Zoo. On “Wild Wednesday“, August 6th, the zoo is offering a $2 special. $2 admission, $2 train rides and $2 hot dogs – all day. Regular adult admission is $10.50; regular child admission is $7 – so this is a GREAT savings!

And if you’re looking for somewhere to beat the heat until Wednesday, be sure to stop in to visit the Kansas City Children’s Museum at Indian Springs in Kansas City, KS. As I’m sure you’ve heard, the Children’s Museum and Wonderscope have merged. Well, this is the LAST WEEK that the Children’s Museum’s KCK location will be open. Don’t miss your chance to play one last time. Jim Cosgrove (that’s Mr. Stinky Feet to you!) will perform at a special closing celebration on Saturday, August 9th. Stop by and say THANKS for the fun and the memories!
