What is Fairy Tale Village? Well, for starters, it’s FREE! Now that I’ve got your attention, here’s a little information on the latest exhibit to hit Kansas City’s Crown Center. Favorite stories and fairy tales come to life in a world of make-believe where you can interact with characters from favorite stories and nursery rhymes. Kids will flip for “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” run safely inside the “Three Little Pigs” brick house, stroll with “Little Red Riding Hood” to grandmother’s house and much more!
The fun begins on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 and the exhibit is located at the Crown Center Shops, Level 1 Showplace (far end). Admission is FREE and you can check it out during regular shopping hours. For more info, call 816-274-8444.
In case you haven’t been to Crown Center in a while…there are lots of kid-friendly places to nosh! Chip’s Chocolate Factory, Crayola Cafe, d’Bronx, Fritz’s Railroad Restaurant, Sheridan’s Custard and Topsy’s are favorites. And–Big Momma’s Bakery-Cafe —you must try anything you can get your hands on from this place! My mom got her holiday dinner rolls from Big Momma’s and they were to die for. I hear they make a mean cinnamon roll, too! (This comes from my brother, who drove from Prairie Village to Crown Center JUST to get a cinnamon roll. Now that’s a true fan!!)
