College Basketball is rooted in Kansas City, MO, and two tradition-filled programs will celebrate that local history this season when the Missouri Tigers and Georgetown Hoyas collide at Sprint Center on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. in the 2010 John McLendon Classic. Doors open at 7pm.
Nationally televised on ESPNU, Missouri and Georgetown each advanced to NCAA Tournament play last year and both programs have been picked inside numerous preseason Top 25 polls this summer. Missouri returns a pair of starters and the second deepest bench in all of college basketball (31.6 bench points per game in 2010) from last season, while the Hoyas welcome back four starters, highlighted by the return of leading scorer Austin Freeman (16.5 ppg).
