With Mother’s Day closing in (that would be this Sunday, May 8!) we thought this giveaway was more than appropriate. Thanks to one of our new advertising partners, College Nannies & Tutors/Overland Park Placement Center, we are giving away something that doesn’t come easily– TIME!

One lucky winner (really lucky, if you ask me!) will win a Free Date Night.  Or a Free Day Out.  However you want to think of it.  College Nannies & Tutors will provide you with one of their nannies for 4 hours!  Plus, they’ve even thrown in a free on-call setup.  Total value?  How about $170!!! Also, you will be in their system, as a regular client…so you will be ready to go if you ever need their services in the future.

College Nannies, the nation’s largest nanny resource, Builds Stronger Families ® by offering a complete set of nanny placement, on-call nannies and professional babysitting services.  What types of services do they offer?  “On Call” nannies provide hourly childcare that’s safe, easy and reliable. They also offer full-time and part-time services, so you can offer your family an in-home care alternative to off-site daycares.  As their name implies, they even offer tutoring services.

This is important and reassuring:  Nannies are employees of College Nannies & Tutors.  As an employer, they must ensure the employee is legal to work, covered by workers’ compensation insurance, liability insurance, specific auto insurance (most homeowners and auto insurance does not cover employees), payroll forms are processed, and payroll taxes are properly withheld. In addition, all nannies are  thoroughly vetted.  This includes a detailed application, highlighting a candidate’s education and experience, an in-depth personal interview, a background investigation and reference check, a family interview, orientation and training.  Nannies receive ongoing support, guidance and resources and are able to do the following:

  • Being a Role Model by setting a good example
  • Playing games, sports, and other activities with the children
  • Helping with homework
  • Organizing and taking children on outings/adventures
  • Providing rides to and from daily activities

So, now it’s time to enter!!  All you need to do is leave a comment here, on our site, and tell us WHAT YOU’RE MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT MOTHER’S DAY. That’s it!  If you’re not a mom, or are a husband or friend…that’s OK!  Tell us how you have honored your own mothers.  Entries will be accepted until WEDNESDAY, MAY 4, 2011 at 9pm.  One lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced via Facebook and this site.  Good Luck!
