Posted February 20, 2013 2:56pm by Kiran

**CONGRATULATIONS Virginia Pennington!  You are going to Kauffman Center to see Peter Cottontail!**

Still looking for a terrific Spring Break camp?  Campers ages 6-14 can spend a week discovering new skills, hidden talents and the thrill of performance!   Starlight Theatre Academy is offering two, one-week Spring Break Camps for ages 6-14: March 11-15, 2013 and March 18-22, 2013 at Starlight Theatre, 4600 Starlight Road.

Campers, working in age-appropriate groups, will spend a week working alongside theatre professionals to explore acting, singing, and dance skills while rehearsing for a production that they will perform for family and friends on the Starlight stage at the end of the week. Campers will contribute to the creation of the set, props, and costuming for the performance. They will also enjoy some classic camp games and craft activities. No experience necessary.

Starlight’s Spring Break Camps are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration forms are available online.  For more information, contact Andy Pierce at (816) 997-1134 or education@kcstarlight.com.

Also– you won’t want to miss Peter Cottontail III at the Kauffman Center March 29-31, 2013. This is part of the collaboration between Starlight Theatre and the stunning Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.   Why not make this a part of your Easter celebration this year– and introduce your little ones to KC’s newest arts gem?   The cast is a mix of some local theatre veterans such as Walter Coppage and Cathy Barnett, some newbies and also several local youth actors.  Should be terrific!  Click here for tickets.

Well, I work for a landscape company that does snow removal. So my alarm is set for 4:15 a.m., so I can get up and on the road hopefully before it gets really bad. I have a extra bag of clothes, pillow and blankets in the car. Extra food in my lunch bag and my car is fueled up. Hoping I arrive to my job in one piece and can get back home to my family at the end of my day.
